About Hilda

Like so many, my interest in baking was sparked by Chad Robertson and his iconic book, Tartine. For years nothing came of it but then COVID happened and changed things. What was an interest in baking, quickly became an obsession for all things pastry, fuelled by the challenge of making croissants in my home kitchen.

After 2 years working in a professional setting, I bought an old carpenter’s Piaggio Porter van and, with the help of my father-in-law, converted it into a mobile coffee / bakery van. Named after my late granny, ‘Hilda’ is a dedication to family past and present.

Specialising in seasonal pastries and viennoiserie, I want Hilda to be a local food destination, known for serving quality produce for the community to enjoy.

Hilda currently trades Tuesday – Friday at St John’s Court, Whiteladies Road and Saturday mornings at BAWA Sports Fields, Filton.
